DISGRUNTLED VET FEST 2019
VETERANS SUPPORTING VETERANS
-Veterans and civilians alike giving back to the men and women who truly need it most in the veteran community.

Over Labor Day weekend, we at TeamIGY6 sponsored Vet Fest 2019. Many veteran-owned bands perform and veteran-owned local businesses host tables where they provide food and wares. All come together to support our brothers and sisters in the veteran community.

After surviving his operations in Afghanistan, Marcus returned home to his ranch in Texas, the center of his post-combat recovery and restoration. On the ranch, Marcus had time to recover, to think, and to feel the love and support of close friends and family as he healed his wounds. Based upon first hand experiences of what is needed to provide holistic treatment beyond standard government programs, while honoring his lost comrades from Operation Redwing, Marcus established the Lone Survivor Foundation in 2010.

The Chris Kyle Frog Foundation (CKFF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Taya Kyle to honor the life and legacy of her husband, “American Sniper” Chris Kyle.

Prior to Chris’ untimely passing in February 2013, he was developing his vision for CKFF programs to support military and first responder marriages and families. Today, Taya and the CKFF team are fulfilling Chris’ vision through the development and delivery of life-changing, impactful programs and services to support couples and their families across our nation.

Mission 22 is a non-profit who combats the ever-rising veteran suicide rate. Every day, more than twenty veterans are lost to suicide. Mission 22 wants to bring that number to zero. It does this with three main programs; veteran treatment programs, memorials and national awareness. Mission 22 provides treatment programs to veterans for Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and other issues they might be facing. It organizes events and builds memorials to create social impact and awareness for these issues. Mission 22 also has an Ambassador volunteer program for people to get involved as well. Ambassadors educate the public on veteran issues, help get veterans into Mission 22 treatment programs and create resources in their communities. Through these three programs, it enables a push for the betterment of our nation’s heroes and stands united in the war against veteran suicide.

Animal Assisted Therapy

From goats to chickens to ducks and horses, the DV Farm has animals galore! Thanks to DV Recoil [Dysfunctional Veterans Mod] we also have a dog named Tank for the “Veteran House” that you will be able to have the pleasure of getting to know. Along with being able to “talk” with the animals, you will be required to feed and take care of the animal upkeep IE: Clean stalls, shovel manure, etc. Some of these may require labor of you as well.
